Merging lists together helps keep your lists organized and simplified. JangoMail gives you the option to merge two or more lists together at one time.
Things to know
- We call the list you're merging a list into the Destination List. Any list that you merge into the Destination List is called the Source List.
- You can create a new list as your Destination List, or use a list that already exists.
- The email addresses in the Source List will be copied to the Destination List. The Source List will not be changed or deleted.
- Fields from Source List(s) will be copied over to the Destination List unless you uncheck this option "Add missing source fields to the destination list".
- Duplicate email addresses are not prevented but can be removed with the Scrub tool. If an email address exists in the Destination List, it will be updated if it exists in Source List(s).
How To Merge Lists
- Click on the Destination List
- In the toolbar under MEMBERS > click Merge Lists
- Under Source Lists, choose one or more lists that will be copied into the specified Destination List
- If you wish to have fields added from Source Lists that are not already in the Destination List, check option to Add missing source fields to the destination list
- Click on MERGE LISTS button.
- The Source List(s) will be copied to the Destination List within a few minutes. The email manager will receive an email notification when it's been completed

You can also merge lists via API, using either of the following methods:

POST /merge_lists methods
